Dave champions and promotes inclusive design principles to ensure equal access and opportunities for blind and partially sighted people. Dave works to drive change and enhance accessibility across a wide range of industries, including technology, product design, the built environment and service provision. Dave collaborates with designers, developers, policymakers, and disability rights advocates, to raise awareness, influence decision-making, and create a more inclusive society for blind and partially sighted people to work, learn, and live the lives we want.

Dave hosts Tech Talk, a leading UK-based community technology show, on RNIB Connect Radio. He has also contributed packages to BBC Radio’s In Touch covering a wide range of subjects including sport, travel and blind parenting. Dave directed ACB Radio, for the American Council of the Blind, between 2003 and 2006. He also founded the BrailleCast podcast for the Braillists Foundation, where in 2023 he was honored to receive the Prime Minister’s Point of Light award that recognises people who are making a change in their community.

When he’s not off running marathons around the world, Dave relaxes by playing piano with a local blues band.
