Without income it can be hard to invest in self-promotion. We want to boost your confidence in self-promoting by getting back to basics of how income is genrated with PPL.
About the Workshop
In this workshop focussed on PPL, we will explain who we are, what we do and where we sit within the industry. We will cover the importance of PPL in relation to income streams for music creators and record labels, as well as the difference between PPL and PRS for Music, and how you may need to be a member of both organisations.
We will also go over how to join PPL, how to make claims as a performer, and how to register recordings as a rightsholder (generally a record label or if you are a self-releasing artist). We will also touch on the improvements we are committed to making in regards to accessibility when using the website.
The workshop will be delivered by Dan Robinson, a Member Development Executive within the Client Services team. He has been at PPL for almost four years and his role focuses on up and coming artists; in recruitment, outreach and education with regards to neighbouring rights collections.
