Accessible Notation
Introduction
Difficulties accessing standard-print music notation can be a barrier for blind and partially sighted musicians, but a range of solutions are available. Whether you are a musician, teacher, or publisher, the primary barrier right now is knowledge of how to access these solutions, so we hope to collate and promote these in this section of the knowledge hub.
The main hard-copy options for accessible scores are large print (also known as Modified Stave Notation or MSN) and braille music. However, a range of digital options also exist. We have written an introductory summary of accessible notation, which we look forward to being supplemented by more detailed articles below.
