Hi friends, looking forward to meeting anyone who wants to join next Thursday’s meet up.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good reader app for articles, web pages, etc on iPhone?

        Thanks in advance, Ben Somers.

I have heard that Voice Dream Reader is good, although I haven’t played with it much. For reading these types of content, I usually just use VoiceOver’s “Read Continuously” or Say all feature where you place the cursor and then swipe two fingers down. That way one stays right within the app or content you’re working with. Hope this helps.

Seeing AI is also good for OCR, or taking a picture of paper in front of you and then reading the decipherable contents of that page.

            Hey Ben,

You may already do this, but if I’m reading a long written article on my phone, I’ll use Safari and open the reader mode on the page. This allows you tweak the display of the text and can also read the page aloud.

If I just want to listen to a couple of paragraphs, I’ll select those and then choose “speak” in the menu that pops up.

            Kind regards,
            Jay
